Podium Athletes

Podium Athletes

You may be one of our athletes who are pushing boundaries to get on the podium. Without being able to profile all of our amazing athletes here are a few of our Professional Podium Athletes:

Dougal AllanDougal Allan (Ironman, Coast to Coast and Multisport)

After having been on the podium in the Coast to Coast five times in five years and travelling the world winning multisport races, Dougal re–invented himself as an Ironman distance athlete. His top ironman performances include Winning Challenge Wanaka 2016 & 2017, and 2nd in IM Kamar 2015. In the 2017 Challenge Wanaka Dougal set the bike course record (4:27) and a new race record (8:26). In 2017 he again has been ranked as the 2nd fastest Ironman for the bike – he also holds the course bike record for IM Taupo (4:22) and IM Australia (4:27). Dougal has risen to the top of endurance sport because of his constant drive for learning and perfection, and continually challenging himself physically and mentally.

Will RoutleyWill Routley (Road Cyclist)

"Will was one of the most dedicated and well-respected riders in the North American Peloton" (Rally Cycling, 2016 after his retirement). As a pro Will competed in two Commonwealth Games; won the King of the Mountains (and Stage 4) at the 2014 Amgen Tour of California, was the 2010 Canadian National Road Champ; and was 2nd overall in GP Liberty (Portugal) with a stage victory. Will was known for his outspokenness against doping in sport, challenging those who said "it was part of the sport" by saying that "all cyclists have a choice". He spoke up in the middle of his career, not caring about the consequences – too many cyclists were afraid to say anything (until their careers finished), and young athletes were being led to believe "it was part of the sport". Will Routley has been a true competitor & outstanding role model in endurance sport.
